The Berkeley School (“School”) is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting any personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy applies to the School’s website (https://www.theberkeleyschool.org/) and any other websites, applications, or online services of the School in which this Privacy Policy is linked or referenced (the “Website”).
This Privacy Policy describes the personally identifiable information the School collects through the Website and how that personally identifiable information may be used, maintained and, in some cases, shared. Your use of the Website indicates your acceptance to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy in effect as of the date of your use. The School anticipates collecting the following categories of “personally identifiable information” through the Website: first and last name, student first and last name, student gender and student birthdate, email address, home address, telephone number, student’s grade and graduation year, credit card number and information, credit card billing information.
The School may collect personally identifiable information from parents/legal guardians or other visitors to the Website who choose to provide such information to the School, for example, when registering for a school event, providing contact information to receive updates from the School, contacting the School through the Website, submitting an inquiry, submitting any form on the website or making a donation. Engaging the Website for these purposes is voluntary and providing any personally identifiable information is intended to complete the action for which you have voluntarily engaged.
The School may also use the personally identifiable information to which it has access to provide you with or solicit from you other information and to let you know of additional activities, events, programs, or services that may be of interest to you. The School will provide you with the opportunity to opt out of these communications.

If you provide a phone number and written consent through the Website, the School may send SMS/text message communications to the phone number you provide. You may opt-out of receiving these SMS/text message communications at any time.
If you provide consent to receive SMS/text message communications, the School will not share, sell, or disclose that information or your phone number to any third parties or any other individual for the purposes of marketing or affiliate marketing.
No server, computer, or communications network or system, or data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. The School takes precautions to protect personally identifiable information, for example, by using passwords on its computers and maintaining security best practices on the website. The School provides links on the website for you to use when providing any payment information. The School does not process the credit card information. Instead, the School has entered into an agreement with a third-party payment processing service to collect, store, process, and transmit credit card data when a visitor makes a payment. All online financial transactions are processed through a secure window hosted by the School’s payment provider. All personally identifiable information transmitted back to the School is sent via SSL-secured connections. The School does not store the credit card information on its own servers.
The School reserves the right to change, modify, or update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any material changes to this Privacy Policy or to the way the School uses your personally identifiable information will be posted on this page.
