Seed Our Future

Your gifts support the students, teachers, and families in our current school community while planting the seeds that will sustain us in the future.

Why Your Gift Matters

Like most nonprofit, mission-driven organizations, TBS relies on philanthropy to maximize the impact of its educational program, expand access to as many students and families as possible, and fulfill its mission.

Robust annual and long-term giving allows the school to invest in exceptional teachers who seek and nurture each child’s unique learning potential while supporting the diverse community ecosystem that makes that vision a reality.

Your gift supports teaching and learning, our inclusive Individual Family Tuition program, and safe, supportive campus environments that allow all students to learn, grow, and thrive together.

Where Can Your Gift Go?

  • The TBS Fund — our annual fundraising campaign that supports yearly operating initiatives and educational programs. Annual Fund gifts make a big impact at a small school like TBS, and 100% participation is always our goal.
  • The Norman Johnson Fund for the Arts – named after a beloved former TBS teacher and community member, the NJFA supports community-based arts education for all TBS students.
  • The Engage A Changing World Fund – a fund that supports all TBS students in the “going out” activities that spring from the school’s Montessori past – from field trips to local fire stations, apple orchards, Bay Area museums and sites of cultural and historic interest to overnight camping trips and the eighth-grade capstone trip to Costa Rica.

Participation

Every gift—at any level—matters and we are grateful for each one. One of our goals is 100% participation from the TBS Board of Trustees, staff, and current families. Broad support from you strengthens our programs and inspires major gifts.

How to Give

In addition to giving online (via a secure PayPal link), TBS supporters make donations via mail, employer matches, donor-advised funds, securities, and planned giving. Click here to learn more and find what’s right for you!
