Step 1: Register for a Campus Tour
Step 2: Complete Application
Step 3: Prepare Materials
Step 4: Apply for IFT (Optional)
Step 5: Schedule a Child Visit
The first step in our admission process is to register for a campus tour at our Early Childhood Campus, 2030 Francisco St.
Campus Tours allow visitors to see our campus and step into the daily experiences of our students. It is an opportunity to ask specific questions about our curriculum, learning outcomes, student support, student life, and more. Tours are led by the Preschool Director and Director of Admissions, on Tuesdays 10-11am at our Early Childhood Campus, 2030 Francisco Street. Tours are for adults only please (infants can be in the stroller or parenting adults’ arms). Please do not bring toddlers or preschool-aged children. They will have the opportunity to have their own visit should you decide to continue our enrollment process.
After you’ve had a chance to meet our team and get a better sense of the school, the next step is to submit an application. There is an $85 application fee for admission applications. Application fee waivers may be available for families who qualify. Please contact Rachel Silvas for consideration.
NOTE: This button will take you to Ravenna. You then need to search for The Berkeley School and select the year you are applying for.
Applicants should send any additional supporting documents which may include the following:
Individual Family Tuition is available via application. Admission decisions are not based on a family’s financial need. However, we do not have infinite financial resources and highly recommend applying as soon as possible for financial assistance.
If you have questions about the process or paperwork, please reach out to our Individual Family Tuition program ift@theberkeleyschool.org.
The final step in the process is to schedule your child visit with our team. Our child visits are a way for your child to connect with our Early Childhood Campus and get to know your family better! They will have an opportunity to explore, play, and interact with activities alongside a teacher.
Additionally, a member of our administration team will take time to connect with all parenting adults to answer any questions. We understand it may take a few minutes for your child to get comfortable in a new setting. It is completely normal!
If you log into your Ravenna Account, you should see ECC Child Visit as part of the Additional Steps in our application process to Register for an Event.
Please reach out if you are having trouble scheduling your appointment.
